Steve Malla, the 2020 Bill Baun Award Recipient
The 2020 Bill Baun Leadership Award was presented to Steve Malla, founder and president of the WCTB, for 11 years of leadership and dedication that has grown the Council into a community. Steve started the WCTB with a desire to share ideas and resources with like-minded individuals to improve the impact of worksite wellness programming. Under his leadership, the Council has developed loyal community partnerships and sponsors, hosted over 40 events with regional and national speakers, and has grown its membership to over 775 individuals throughout the Tampa Bay area. In addition to leading the Council, Steve is a Wellness Manager for White & Case, a global law firm with offices in over 40 countries. In his role, he has developed a global wellbeing strategy to deliver locally relevant and regionally adaptive programming, including chronic disease management through three on-site health centers and the implementation of Mental Health First Aid trainings. It was our honor to present him with this award to show our appreciation for his continued enthusiasm, devotion and guidance.
